An interesting (well, interesting for me anyway) topic has been brought to my attention recently. While we’re looking for a Junior Developer here at Manifest HQ – CVs, interviewees, emails and phone calls have begun to roll in prompting me to actually think about the processes involved in hiring someone from this industry.
As HTML 5 begins to pick up all kinds of pace (recent disputes aside), big news came this week in the form of WebM – an open video project launched by major browser vendors, such as Mozilla, Opera and Google – the technology already owned by the latter. Read the full story
BumpTop have announced the deal on their blog, which will surely see Google integrating the technology into their operating systems. Obviously not looking particularly polished in this video, I can certainly see something big in the works for Google – probably hardware based, probably better than the iPad? Who knows.
